BORNEO JAZZ TICKETS ON SALE AT VISITORS INFORMATION CENTRES

KUCHING, Tuesday – Tickets for the upcoming Borneo Jazz in Miri are now on sale at Visitors Information Centres in Kuching, Sibu and Miri, Sarawak.

Tickets are priced at RM60 for single entry and RM100 for a two-day pass. Children under the age of 12 years will enjoy 50% discount on each ticket. Borneo Jazz tickets are also available online at www.ticketcharge.com.my.

Borneo Jazz, this year, will see seven famous international acts and one local band making their debut appearance on the festival stage. Mo’Blow, the energetic spicy groovy funk group from Germany, who are described by Berliner Zeitung as “one of the hottest live bands” will perform on the first night.

The other international acts confirmed are Hazmat Modine from the East-Coast of USA, the energetic and toe-tapping music by Jump4Joy from Sweden, a capella jazz group from Canada, The Nylons; representing Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines and Thailand is The Asian Jazz AllStars Power Quartet and Scott Martin Latin Soul Band from West-Coast of USA.

Last but not least are the ethno jazz musician and artist from Australia, Lisa Young Quartet and Sarawak local band the West Jazz Band from Kuching.

Borneo Jazz is expected to attract more than 9,000 weekend revelers; local and international who mainly come from West Malaysia, Sabah, Labuan and neighbouring countries of Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia and from afar, Australial.

Complementing the festival, there will be a food and village mart where more than 30 booths will feature exhibition and sale of handicrafts made by the local craftsmen and artisans. This will augur well for the local business community.

In Kuching, the Visitor Information Centre (VIC) is located at the Sarawak Tourism Complex (Old Court House), Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg. The VIC Sibu is located at Jalan Tukang Besi and VIC Miri is located at Jalan Melayu (opposite Tamu Muhibbah).
