Sarawak’s Islamic Heritage Museum (Muzium Islam Sarawak) will be having a programme in 2019 called “A Special Artefact of the Month.” This features a different artifact each month to be highlighted in a special display, relating to the history and culture of the Muslim communities around the world and in Sarawak.
Other activities include quizzes, Eksplorasi Warisan or the “Heritage Exploration” and a "Lucky Guest," who stands a chance to win a gift from the museum.
The Islamic Museum proudly presents the historical heritage and special culture of the Muslim community in Sarawak, throughout the Malay-Indonesian archipelago, and beyond. The building itself holds historical significance, as it was built as the James Brooke Malay College and later turned into the Maderasah Melayu Sarawak in 1930.
The museum consists of seven galleries set around a central courtyard garden, each with a different theme. The Artefact of the Month will be housed in the first gallery, which has the theme of "History of Islam in Sarawak."
Opening hours are:

Friday: 9.00am to 12.30pm, 2.15pm to 4.30pm
